I'm Alejandra. I'm from Mexico City, and I currently live and work in New York City.
I am a Creative Director with Art Direction and Graphic Design background. Over the years, I have worked on a diverse group of clients including Target, Gucci, Giorgio Armani, Hugo Boss, Calvin Klein, L'Oréal Paris, Lacoste, Victoria's Secret, HomeGoods, TJ Maxx, Marshalls, BMW, Gwen Stefani, Ad Council/ AdoptUsKids BluePrint juices, and more.
My latest project, in collaboration with kbs+ and Director Matt Pizzano, was the creation and creative direction of the short-film 'Becoming: Bradley Theodore'. The project came to life out of my search for inspiration. It was the perfect way to work with brilliant contemporary creative minds and bring their stories to the world. Our film was selected by Robert De Niro to premier in Tribeca Film Festival.
I was featured in Advertising Age Magazine & Creativity-Online's yearly "CREATIVES YOU SHOULD KNOW" ARTICLE, basically giving me what I always wanted: 1 week of super fame. Now it's over, and I'm currently searching for a way to be featured on Forbes… or TMZ. :)
(UPDATE! This actually happened… I was featured in hundreds of publications worldwide, including TMZ... ha!, due to one of my Instagram photos going super viral… HERE is the famous photo)
I have a slight obsession with PINTEREST, which has gained me more than 600,000 followers.
Besides Advertising, I've always had a love for Fashion and Film. I've collaborated with awesome Film Directors and Photographers like Lacey Studio, Todd Field, Ruben Fleisher, Thomas Napper, Mario Sorrenti, Santiago & Mauricio, and more.
On a fun note, Uncle Karl is my fashion love. I also HAVE to see or film a tornado before I die. I love gastronomy and the art of food, but there is nothing like an authentic Mexican street taco (with extra lime, of course). I am always searching for amazing street art. I am married to, finally Oscar winner, Leonardo DiCaprio, but he doesn't know it yet. I have a severe addiction to handbags, filming glitter explosions and Instagram. My favorite place in the world is Paris. Bad design makes my eyes throw up. And number one on my bucket list is to work with Grace Coddington in the very near future.
